WOOD FRAME BUILDINGS - Easy to Renovate and Expand

Designers, builders and homeowners are using wood to create a wide variety of structures that are durable, architecturally pleasing and environmentally-friendly.

Wood-frame construction techniques are used worldwide for many kinds of buildings -

- single and multi-family homes

- community centres and recreational facilities

- churches and temples

- public buildings such as libraries and airports, health care facilities and schools

- factories and warehouses

Wood-frame construction is flexible. As families grow or lifestyle requirements change, existing building structures can be expanded to include more rooms. Walls are easily adjusted and moved. There are many options for renovations and changes to floor plans.

Wood’s reliability makes it a favorite of architects and builders, and decades of research and technological advancement prove that wood can meet any building challenge. Easy to build with and easy to remodel, wood also complements and adds value to other building materials.
